Harrooo mates! How is effurybody this lovely evening? We are all lounging in the air-con here munching on some scrumptious salmon treats special delivery from our dear PAWZ furiends! This week I had a vet visit. #1 discovered a lump whilst
holding me down and stealing my precious floofies brushing me. Well, we scheduled a visit to have it removed & the histology report was good- it's not a tumor; however, while we were there #1 mentioned to the vet that I have been having some 'issues' with my hind quarters. Woo see, they don't really follow my front quarters too well sometimes. There are other things too, but those aren't important. While I was waiting for surgery the vet took me out for a short walk to look at my gait. She realized immediately that something was amiss. They also did this thing where they roll my toes under and see if I can then place my foot correctly. Turns out I can't. It's all pretty confusing.
Now don't go freaking out like #1 did. I'm a happy, healthy huskerboo. We've discussed an MRI with the vet and may pursue that (we may not). We've read that hydrotherapy is very useful for pups in my situation; I will be starting after I get my stitches out- I'm not to sure about the whole water therapy thing but I trust #1. Isis may also get to go because it would help her arthritis :) There are other options too that will be investigated...
I promise to post some pics of the awesome prezzies from the pawz soon. Right now there is a little nuknuk that needs some siber smacking! We are leaving woo all this evening with a picture of the amazing work done Dr. B. and all the incredible technicians. They promise me no one will ever see the scar hawoooo woooo!

Hugs and lovings to you, Ra, what a brave fellow you are!! I am SO GLAD there is no tumor, and please know you will be in all my many prayers for all the other issues to be resolved famously. The hugs, prayers, and positive healing energies go out to you, Ra; and, of course, Isis, Nanuk, and your precious #1, too!! I'm sure he was VERY concerned for you - you are his soulmate, Ra!!
Sounds like you have a very nice vet, too!
Glad everything tested ok with the mass. And you are handsome as ever, my friend. Quinn has the same issues with footsies and front/back leg. Momma and dd chose not to do MRI because of travel and process would freak out my gentle brother. He receives level 4 laser therapy (kind of like ultra deep tissue massage) and he is on Gabapenten. White Dog healing energy and positive thoughts are heading your way.
Dear Ra, I'm so glad to hear you're okay except for the pesky leg. I have 2 pesky legs too. I hope no one makes me go swimming though. I still much prefer jumping from very high walls. Take care! Your friend, Georgia X
RA we are so glad it was not a tumor. We hope your legs get sorted asap. Take care. Have a great Friday.
Best wishes Molly
Hope you're back up to speed quickly Ra. Hope the hydrotherapy isn't too much like having a bath (oh the horror!!)
Doggie kisses, Misaki
Glad everything is OK. Now all you need to do is get your two ends to work together! Paws crossed for success!
:o)
So glad it's not a tumor! Please keep us posted on your water therapy. I really hate the water.
Nora
So glad that you didn't have a tumor! Those vets that sewed you up did a great job. I know water is not so fun at first for us northern breeds but I bet you will learn to enjoy it :)

So glad the bump wasn't a bad bump!
Water therapy?!? Yeowsers. Don't they know you're a Siberian Husky? We don't "do" water. Unless we WANT to, then there's no stopping us. I hope it goes well for you --- please keep us posted!
Play bows,
Zim
Whew, glad the lump wasn't a bad one, but that boo boo sure looks like you should be able to milk it good for some extra treats. We hope the water therapy goes well for you and Isis. Hope you will like the water better than we do.
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
Hiya RA...hey can you guys add a follow by email button on your blog?? I can't receive your regular posts unless you do that. I only follow by email and don't ever use a reader, whatever that thingy is.
Anyways, I miss you 'cuz I haven't been on Twitter very regularly.
ANd I am worried just like #1 about your gait...wringing paws together...you take care of woo....I luv my Sibe pals, paw pats, Savannah...oh, and play bows to Nanuk and Isis...
Going to the vet is frightening for me and I agree with Phantom, Thunder, Ciara & Lightning, after being a brave boy, you better got loads of treats :)
Oh, Ra...I'm so glad you are okay! I hope that the hydrotherapy works to get your silly back legs going with your front ones again.
Cairn cuddles,
Oz

Howdy Ra Husky, sorry about your lump but glad its all ok. HOpe you get your leggie problem sorted out soon. Thanks also for your kind woos when our Poppa passed away. We appreciated it mate. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
P.S. Shame your scar won't show. Don't ya know girlies love that stuff!
That was how they tested our Sage. But her problems were far more severe than yours.
I hope you soon feel much better.
Hi, I go swimming every weekend in a hot water pool. It helps loosen the tightness in my shoulders and it feels great to float and swim in water. You'll get used to it and then it'll be fun. At my pool, I started off with a life vest around me and gentle floating with a human assistant nearby so I wasn't afraid at all. I hope that you'll like it. MRI's cost lots of money. We did one on me prior to my disk surgery. It helped the surgeons to pin-point the trauma area and what they had to do. I hope all goes well for you.
Hi RA
I am sending good happy and healing thoughts to you in magic bubbles,, so that treatment can be decided for your leggys to work togethers.
I am glad the other boo boo was not a tumor.
We all love you

We are very happy to hear you are okay. Welcome to the world of water therapy. This time next year we will challenge woo and pops to a huskitubing race! Good luck in the water and remember with hydrotherapy comes LIVER TREATS! Nom nom nom.
So glad it is not a tumor. #1 must have been so scared. Gibson sometimes has some issues with the hind end and weakness...we have found K-Laser USA treatments to be very helpful. Maybe #1 can check with your vet about those? Gib loves them - they are not painful at all and he thinks of it as a "spa day" so don't tell him anything different! If you want more info, we did do a YouTube video of him getting a treatment so folks and furpals can see. We are thinking of you and hope all will be OK!
wooo huskerboo pal, so happy to hear your doing ok. Im sure once you start your hydrotherapy those pesky legs will start to do as their told. How cool Isis gets to go along too. Yep can just see you & Forrest in huskitubing races BOL. Keep up the good work pal.
Wow! Lumpy bumps are scary. Glad yours was ok. And sorry to hear about your leggy issues. I've got some pretty bad arthritis myself. I'm not sure I'd like the water therapy - it sounds an awful lot like a bath. We're crossing all of our paws that it works (and that it's not too icky to have to swim).
Your pal,
Titus
Cool incision, dude...
